Cara Kless, LPCC
Cara’s career as a dancer led her to utilize body based and somatic interventions in her work as a trauma therapist. She is a certified EMDR therapist and has completed DBR (deep brain reorienting) training as well. She is committed to offering people from the LGBTQ+ community and alternate spiritual paths a place to find their voice, tell their story, and heal from their wounds.
My Story
I began my journey as a therapist working at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center.
I was inspired by the strength I saw and the healing path that survivors I worked with
were choosing. This was not easy work they were doing, but they were courageous
and committed, and I was privileged to be able to support them in that work.

As I began training to increase my skills and knowledge of trauma focused healing, it became
clear to me that people who didn't easily fit in to our society had a different and more challenging path to becoming whole again. And those people seemed to fit with me. People in the LGBTQ+ community, the alt spiritual community, the alt sexual community were trying to build a life in a place that was trauma inducing every day, and I decided I wanted to be able to offer them a place to find their voice and their path. I use a combination of somatic resources, EMDR, and DBR to tailor therapy to each client I work with.
If you are ready to do the work, I would be honored to help you find your balance and your voice.
